Where can I learn more about value-added opportunities in Saskatchewan?
- The Government of Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Agriculture webpage and the Invest SK website are excellent resources to learn about the value-added processing sector.
- The Prairie Food Link is a source to build connections and have informal discussions amongst companies and entrepreneurs within the food processing community.
The Sheraton has limited onsite parking. The City of Saskatoon has on-street parking or pay lots nearby. Impark also has a number of nearby lots.
Do the organizers block rooms at the hotel?
A room block is not set aside for the event. You are encouraged to reserve a room as early as possible. Other hotel accommodations are very nearby should they be required.
This event is hosted to benefit the resident Saskatchewan value-added industry. International firms are not the target audience, though registration is open to all. The organizers cannot assist with documentation to enter the country.
Who is involved in planning the event?
The event is hosted by the Government of Saskatchewan’s Ministries of Agriculture and Trade and Export Development, in conjunction with partners from Prairies Economic Development Canada, Innovation Saskatchewan, and Ag-West Bio (Prairie Food Link)

Since COVID, all events have been hybrid. The final event format will be noted on the event registration page.
What is the difference between the conference and the workshops?
The conference is a typical conference of keynotes, panels and networking to bring insights into current topics of interest in the value-added sector. The workshops are half day sessions to learn in-depth on a single topic such that attendees leave with concrete actionable tools for their business.
